Ledbury Pool Refurbishment

Dear Parents & Swimmers

As many of you may have read, HALO announced on Wednesday that the £2.3M refurbishment of the Ledbury Leisure Centre will be going ahead which is great news for the long term future of our club as we hope it will lead to better spectator facilities as well as modernised changing rooms. The announcement also confirmed that the project incorporates the closure of the swimming pool from the 1st June 2016 until the 1st April 2017 (although these dates may change a little).

HALO and LADASC have held regular meetings for the last 18 months about the possibility of the centre being renovated. However, no final decision had been communicated until the formal announcement yesterday.

HALO will be offering us alternate pools within the HALO group - the specifics are not yet known. In parallel, the committee has already drawn up a short list of alternative venues and options, and now that the situation at Ledbury has been officially confirmed we can move forward and investigate these options.

We will use email and the website to keep you all informed as soon as we have more details. In the meantime it is crucial that we continue to build on the recent gala successes and the forthcoming county galas in Wolverhampton.
