Worcester County Championships 2016

The Worcester County Swimming Association have released the details of the 2016 county championships.

  1. There will be no 9 year old category in the Counties. And ages 10 & 11 have been combined into one category.
  2. The age of the competitor will be based on their age as at 31st December 2016 (e.g. if your birthday is 1st January 2002 you will be 14 for the counties, similarly if your birthday is 31st August 2002 you will be 14 for counties).
  3. The 800m freestyle will be for Girls only and the 1,500m freestyle will be for Boys only.
  4. The dates for competition are Sunday 24th January 2016 (Long Distance 800/1,500m freestyle) @ Redditch, weekends 30/31 January 2016 and 6/7 February 2016 @ Wolverhampton.
  5. The period of qualification runs from 1st April 2015 to 18th December 2015.
