Wyvern League 2015

Round 2 Report

 

On Saturday 28^th February LADASC travelled to Abertillery to compete with the hosts, Chepstow, Newport and Torfaen Swimming Clubs for the decond round of the Wyvern League 2015.

Following the home tie for the first round this was a long coach trip to have some exciting racing at pool only visited once before.

From the first couple of races it was clear that Newport, Abertillery and Torfaen had all sent very strong teams and in the end Newport were comfortable winners on the night. However, Ledbury performed extremely well with 9 first places and 13 second places but only managed to place in 4^th place.

First places went to Matt Thomas (Boys 13/u – 50m butterfly & 50m free), Elliot Heath (Boys 15/u – 100m free), Seb Roffey (Boys 13/u – 50m back), Tom Birley (Boys 9&10 – 25m fly) and the relays for Boys 13/u Freestyle and Medley relay, Boys 15/u Freestyle and Boys 9&10 Freestyle. A summary of the results is shown below;
